Review by Arnie P

The MICROspikes were provided by Kahtoola for the purpose of this review.
I am a big fan of light weight traction devices. Over the past several years I have used 4 different types of traction devices. The MICROspikes I got about 3 years ago are still in excellent shape, with no signs of rust or wear. The only noticeable change is that the elastomer is a dull red and not shiny anymore. This review will be about the new MICROspikes I received, but I will be noting any differences I find.  To read more.

MEC Mercury Tights update

January 15, 2011

Author wearing the Mercury Tights on a rather chilly hikeI have been wearing the Mercury Tights for both day hikes and on a few biker rides.  However, more of the former since I don’t like to ride when it gets much below 50 F, and for the past month, the high has only made into the 50s a few times, and those days were usually rainy.  One such day hike came on December the 14th, two days after we had a pretty decent snow by Alabama standards.  With the cold temps the snow stayed on the ground several days so I considered myself lucky to get a chance to walk to the holler with snow still on the ground.  To read the rest of the updated please click here.

Arnie likes being a reviewer

January 7, 2011

Arnie

Article by  Arnie P

I had been hiking and backpacking a long time before I started doing reviews for hiking and backpacking. With the growth of the internet, I became aware of reviews and started reading them before buying equipment. Equipment is expensive and I wanted to buy once and not have to return an item because it did not work as expected or the product failed when I thought it should not.  To read more.

All Good, from the Roots up…..

January 1, 2011

Danielle Denton

I am fortunate enough to have received three fantastic products from
Elemental Herbs:  All Good Lips, Herbal Cool, and All Good Goop.  Elemental Herbs owner Caroline Duell developed these products with a great vision in mind; to harness the natural powers of the environment’s purest, most elemental ingredients and organic herbs in order to offer natural healing products that are good for people and good for the earth.  I have given all three products the once over and they seem to be very high quality.  I will use them on almost a daily basis and look forward to the benefits that they can provide.
