My name is Chris Rapchick and I’m a 22 year old graduate of The Citadel, Military College of  SouthCarolina. I am an avid outdoors enthusiast and can rarely be found sitting around inside. I love to fish, try to hunt and highly enjoy backpacking and hiking whenever possible. I have grown up in Charleston, South Carolina and have enjoyed fishing ever since my grandfather taught me to catch Largemouth Bass and various species of Bream in my neighborhood ponds. No one else in my family fishes or hunts much so I’ve had to figure it out on my own, which has been quite an adventure to say the least. What really got me interested in the outdoors was the Boy Scouts of America. I joined up as a Tiger Cub in elementary school and progressed all the way to Eagle Scout in 2005, including a trek with my father at Philmont Scout Ranch in 2002. I am currently working at Philmont as a Ranger, teaching scouts and their adult advisors the essentials of backpacking, Leave No Trace and how not to die in the woods. Scouting has been an absolutely wonderful experience for me. Now that I have aged out of the program and seen it from the adult point of view, I can fully appreciate all that it has given me and inspired me to do. I enjoy all types of fishing including saltwater, freshwater, bowfishing, flyfishing, offshore, etc. When I return to Charleston at the end of the summer, I plan to attain my USCG OUPV Captain’s License in order to turn my hobby into a career, allowing me to teach and inspire young people to love the sport as much as I do. I hope to provide the readers of 4alloutdoors.org with information on new and exciting products and technology for the fishing enthusiast. If anyone has any questions regarding any type of fishing, I welcome you to post the questions in the forum of 4alloutdoors.org and I will try to answer them, or provide resources with the answers, in a timely fashion. Tight lines! -Chris Rapchick
