I have not used this product down to 35 F. For me there is more to keeping warm than just the sleeping bag. When the temps go down I wear warmer night clothes. There is also the ground temp that is not always discussed. In the fall the ground temp is higher than the air temp at night, In the spring when the ground is still frozen hard, air temp could be 40 F and now the sleeping pad needs to be able to handle the lower ground temp.
I have used the blanket close to 45 F, and it was 45 F below the sleeping pad. I like to have my bag about 10 F warmer than the coldest temperature I expect. Hope this helps. arnie

Hi. Great review. Have you had a chance to use the setup in weather near the 35 degree mark? I'm wondering how it would work in Fall and Spring camping when the temps drop down near freezing. Thanks.

I don't have a lot of outdoor memories of my mom, she was more of an indoor kind of lady, but I do have one of my aunt, who was like a mom - trying to teach her to ride a bike at the age of about 50, on my little banana seat bike with the basket and the bell. Wasn't she a sight? One of my great memories of childhood!

My Mom was the stay at home Mom. She took my sister and I and all the neighbor kids to swim in Lake Erie, but we weren't able to go until afternoon when all her housework and ironing were done! A great time was had by all!!

I was doing a bicycling wine tour with my parents and my boyfriend (who they had never met) in New Zealand. Mom was having a great time, and her low alcohol tolerance was definitely showing. We rounded a corner on our bikes, her the last of the 4 of us, and she took the corner too closely. We all watched as in slow motion she started to wobble, tried to put her foot down to catch herself but gradually keeled over until she landed in a ditch! I think the worst thing for her was that we were slow to react (and Dad kept cycling!) but a car driving past pulled up and the people jumped out and helped her on her way again. Fortunately we had finished the wineries for the day, but it didn't put her off visiting a couple more the next day!

Oh, for me it has to be when our kids were little and their mom and I returned from a day of sightseeing with them to find that our tent's rainfly didn't work, and that the tub floor in the tent worked exceptionally well. A series of thunderstorms had passed through that day, and all our gear was floating in about 4 inches of water. The few people that had been camping nearby had all left. My wife just smiled softly, looked at our toddler son and 5 year old daughter, and said, "so, kids, do you want to camp again tonight, or should we rent a cabin?"

I don't have one single memory that stands out, but one of my favorite events happened on multiple occasions, the hikes down to the swimming hole. Mom would even pack a picnic lunch sometimes.
