Day 3 of the 2018 Winter Outdoor Retailer Show continued with more opportunities to see the latest and greatest gear.
Bright colors for ski’s seemed to be one of the trends with this year’s crop of skis. Head Skis had a Crayola box of colors for their line.

A new company CGear that makes Sand-Free mats, shoes, and bags. The demo was pretty cool, just rub the sand on top of the mat and it goes through the mat material, but if you push down on the mat the sand does not come back up. Pretty cool tech.

Cake is the Tesla of electric motorcycles. They make a very stylish electric bike that also has off road capabilities.

I am also excited by the new Dry Flex lineup from Buff. The new lineup is a little thinner and cut for runners and come in a buff and beanie and feature reflective material built in to the fabric.

Rumpl is known for their high quality go anywhere outdoor blankets. They are introducing a new line of beach towels to accommodate couples and singles that feature quick drying fabric.

ROVR is a new brand of insulated coolers recently introduced to the market. One of the things that stand out to me is that it has durable off road wheels attached to the cooler which would make it perfect for Mardi Gras here in NOLA and work pretty well in the forest too.

The day ended with a Backcountry Film Fest hosted by the Winter Wildlands Alliance. The film that stood out to me the most was Adventure not War about an Iraq war veteran who returns to climb and ski and change his memories of the country.
