I have not noticed a decrease in the flow. If there is one it is mild enough for me not to pay attention. I am taking it backpacking next weekend so I will see how it will work with a fiter. Right now when my empty the pouch I can not blow air through my tube to get rid of residual water. It does not allow air to pass.

Also, I prefer to refill by attaching my filter directly to the drink tube, would this interfere with filling the pouch this way, or could the backflow damage the device?
