Some of you may be wondering what Tactical wear is and some of you may be wondering why Tactical wear is on an Outdoor review site. Tactical wear is apparel that is usually geared toward the Military, Law Enforcement, Firefighters and other battlefront civilians. It stems from the military, as manufactures of the Government have made it a point to create and manufacture top quality gear for the military. These men and women put their lives on the line in the field for our protection as well as all other protecting and serving officers. So, it goes without saying that these men and women need the best gear out there to perform their job to the best of their ability. If their gear fails, they fail.
There are many tactical company’s out there and unless you are in this sort of nitch, then you probably don’t pay much attention to it. But, if you are looking for the best gear out there, look no further than tactical gear.
Woolrich has been one of the best clothing manufacturers for centuries. So it comes to no surprise to me that they have an Elite Series Tactical department. Again, this department is geared more toward the tactical wearer. I myself am not in the military or any type of officer but when I go camping or I’m going to be in the outdoors for an extended period of time, I want the best protection I can find. So I look towards tactical wear just for that purpose.

Woolrich Elite Lightweight Pant
The Elite Lightweight Pant has a wonderfully soft feel to them. Made of a 7oz. 100% cotton rip-stop material and is very lightweight.
Woolrich Elite Long-sleeve Shirt
The Elite Long-sleeve shirt is also available in a Short-sleeve version. The long-sleeve is convertable to a short-sleeve style by rolling the sleeves up and buttoning the flap over the material.
Woolrich Elite Short
The Elite Short is a little bit heavier weight material than the Lightweight Pant. The shorts are made of a 8.5 oz. garment-washed 100% cotton canvas.
Woolrich Elite Operator Hat
This Elite Operator Hat is made of 100%cotton and sports areas of the loop portion of hook and loop to be able to apply personal patches or name tapes.
