The Woolrich Elite Short is much like its big brother, the pants. The shorts have the same great features and quality as the pant except, well, they are shorts. (http://www.woolrichelitetactical.com/index.htm)
Features
The same rugged 8.5 oz. garment-washed 100% cotton canvas as our Elite canvas pants.
Reactive dyed to ensure a superior level of fade resistance.
Comfortable broken-in feeling from day one.
DuPont Teflon® Fabric Protector for a breathable, durable barrier that repels both water and oil-based spills.
10 strategically located multi-use pockets: 4 open pockets, 2 wallet/ID pockets and 4 flapped security cargo pockets.
2 back wallet/ID pockets hold wallet/ID in a normal position, instead of allowing the wallet/ID to drop down to an uncomfortable spot on the back of your thigh.
Slim, flapped utility pockets on each upper thigh holds a cell phone, wallet, knife, pistol magazines, cuffs or even a 30 round AR-15 magazine.
Critical seams are double-needle stitched and bar-tacked at stress points.
The waist band features side elastic panels for all-day comfort and freedom of movement.
Concealed brass zipper front fly along with a metal tack-button.
Reinforced 2″ belt loops.
Easy care: machine wash, tumble dry and cool iron as needed.
Even waist sizes 28″-44″. Inseam 9″;.
As you can see here, these shorts have a ton of features and they are all above the knee. I typically wear a 34 in the waist but I decided to try the 36 waist size and I’m glad I did. They are very comfortable fitting and I can tell the 34 waist size would have been to constricting.
The feel of the material seems very durable and I am at the time of year that I will get to wear these shorts a lot on my outings and will get to try all of the features. Stay tuned for more…..(Shorts provided by Woolrich for review purposes)
