OLIGHT M1T Raider Flashlight

OLIGHT is a Chinese company that makes fine lighting products with multiple uses from everyday to hunting and tactical applications.  They state that their mission is to provide quality illumination products to everyone.  Their website is laid out well giving the user the ability to see lights based on their intended use.  I will be reviewing their newly released M1T Raider flashlight.

4alloutdoors.org is reviewing several of their products which you can view by clicking following links H1R Nova and the 1R EOS.

The M1T Raider flashlight is a part of their tactical line up and retails for $39.99.  It is a compact light just under 4 inches in length.  It features a lightweight metal body.  The body of the light has a helical knurling for grip, a dual direction clip, and a tail switch.

The user can tap the tail switch for momentary full 500 limen beam or tap it twice quickly for the the low beam.  A full press of the tail switch turns the light on for constant mode with first mode being the 500 lumen.  A second full depression of the switch turns the light on in constant mode with the low beam light.

The light is powered by a single CR123A battery which seems to be the standard for all the lights that they make.  OLIGHT claims that the light will last  approxiametly120 mins on the 500 lumen mode and 100 hours on the 5 lumen mode.  The light will reach approximately 97 meters on high mode and 10 meters on low mode. The M1T Raider has an IPX 8 waterproofness rating.

The M1T Raider is a sweet light.  It fits nicely in the palm of my hand and it is easy to master switching between the lighting modes.   I also like that it is small enough to keep clipped in a pocket or stashed in a small pocket on a pack.  The dual direction clip feature is interesting.  I think it will allow me to attach the M1T Raider to a hat for hands free use.

M1T Raider

I will be evaluating the M1T Raider on two main characteristics over the next couple of months – functionality and durability.

This concludes my initial thoughts.  Please check back in a month or so for my update.

Thanks to 4alloutdoors.org and OLIGHT for providing the product for this review.
