Spotlight 12V

Talk about good things coming in small packages – these little lights are something else.   First – they are small – about 2″ long, and no bigger around than a magic marker.   Worried about batteries dying just when you need a light?  Not a problem, the light chargers in your car’s power outlet (or lighter).  Plug it in, drive to the trail head and it is charged.  No adapters or chargers – the light plugs into the power supply.  That is almost too easy, huh?  A few other nice features; it comes with a lanyard.  On those night trips to ‘view nature’, you can wear it and be hands free when you need to.  I hung mine from the top of the tent, and it gave off enough light to get the sleeping bags opened up, and everything set for a good night’s sleep.

A quick twist to the end of the light turns it off and on.  It isn’t adjustable, but I find the light pretty good for most tasks.  It is bright enough to light the trail, and if held at  a slight angle, is ok for reading by.   I have two, so one stays in my car for emergencies, and the other goes in my pack for over night trips.   We’ve used it on 6 nights or so, and so far, the light is as strong as ever.  I will continue using it, and see how many times it recharges.  Days are getting shorter, so lighting becomes even more important.  So far, each of the lights has been recharged about 3 times.  Check back soon for an update.
