Update 15 Jun 09:
I was able to use the ruff wear dog bowl and collar last weekend while out camping. The dog bowl is smaller than I imagined. I filled it about half full of water for my dog in camp, and he drank out of it just fine. It looked like it was going to be a bit tight for his snout, as he is a 75 lb lab, but he was able to drink out of it just fine. The bowl did great, it held water fine without leaking, not much else to say but it works and he likes it!
I also used the quick draw leash. I really like this leash. My dog (Moose, a 75 lb lab who is a bit overweight like his dad) loves to go off leash, as he is a trained hunting dog (though never been hunting) he likes to roam and sniff everything around the woods. He never wonders out of sight, which is maybe at the farthest 15 yards, and always comes right back to me when called, or he thinks I am gone. I like to play hide and seek with him, this also teaches him to stay close. Since I let him run off leash, I always wind up carrying his leash, usually wrapping it like a belt around my waist. With the Ruff Wear Quick Draw leash he can now carry his own stuff!
The leash clips to his main collar, wraps around his neck once on the outside of his collar and is secured by hook and loop closure around his neck. When I need to have him on a leash, I just grab the red tab and pull, and it opens up to about 20-24 inches (I haven’t measured it, cause different sized dogs will be different lengths). I will say I am 5 ft 7 inches tall, and I have no problem holding the leash when it is undone. I don’t have to bend over, or stoop to hold it all full draw. It doesn’t seem to bother him either. At first he looked at me funny when I put it on him, and then when he realized what it was I heard him say “Leash? Walk Walk Walk Walk Walk!!!”
