Ellington Annie Yoga Bag
The first thing I noticed about this tote was the color scheme – dark teal with brown trim. I really thought they looked great together (it was actually the same color as the sweater I was wearing at the time). I immediately started searching the bag and found a lot of small pockets, great for cell phones, wallets, etc., a feature I find really useful, as it eliminates the need to carry yet another bag. I love the magnetic closure – so much easier than a zipper or snaps, and it really holds tightly, even when the bag is full. The straps on the bag are sturdy and a great length for carrying it over the shoulder. The bag also comes with a removable “cross shoulder” strap but I found it to be uncomfortable to carry the bag that way, as it’s quite large and when it’s full, it’s cumbersome.
I grabbed my yoga mat to try the front straps that are made to hold a mat or umbrella or something of that shape and size. I unsnapped the three snaps on each of the straps and put my mat in. I found it a little difficult to put the mat in and take it out, the opening is a little small. I tried to roll my mat even tighter, which made it a little easier, but I have a thick yoga mat and the texture of it made it more difficult to slide in and out easily. I think this feature would be better suited for other uses. It’s also not easy to carry a yoga mat on a bag like that, where it sits horizontally. I personally find the over-the-shoulder bags a little more comfortable.

Carrying the Ellington Yoga Bag
Overall I LOVE this bag – it comes in very handy for carrying a lot of things and will be great for the gym, beach, shopping, etc. I love that it’s nylon, also, so it will be easy to clean and keep the contents dry.
