I recently received the High Sierra Long Trail backpack. It has 5500 cubic inch capacity. It weighs 6.1 pounds and has an internal frame.

The bag is one of the larger packs that High Sierra makes. I have looked for a pack that is long enough for me. I am over 6 ft. and it’s not always easy to find a bag that will sit properly on my waist. The pack fits properly when tightened up. There is plenty of room for gear in the bag for extended hikes. There are multiple openings to the bag that allow for easy access to the main compartment. The bag also has an area for a hydration bladder of up to 1 liter. There are also two pouches on each side for water bottles. The bag is made from Duralite material. It seems to be a good material and able to take some wear. The back straps are ERGO-FIT. This allows you to adjust the straps to fit you properly. Overall the bag seems like a quality bag that will fit comfortably on longer hikes. I will be doing some longer hikes with this pack in the near future to see how well the pack breaks in but so far I see no problems.
