Showers Pass Apex Tech T-Shirt Update

Showers Pass Apex Tech T-shirt I have really enjoyed wearing the Showers Pass Apex Tech T-Shirt so far.  It is fast becoming one of my favorites for bike riding and is a great hiking shirt as well.  It has been very humid this summer and I was able to test the wicking ability of the shirt to the max.  To read all my thoughts so far please click here.

Warbonnet Thunderfly

Warbonnet Thunderfly I am usually so busy writing reviews of gear sent to me that I don’t find the time to write a review of gear I bought.  However, I have been so impressed with the Warbonnet Thunderfly that I carved out the necessary time.  Lets just say I really like this hammock fly.  But to read all about it click here.

Follow along as I review the Showers Pass Apex Merino Tech T-Shirt.  It arrived just in time for some hot and muggy Alabama summer weather.  It feels so soft and comfortable it’s hard to believe it has any wool in it.   To read my initial impressions please click here.

CreekKooler 30 Qt cooler

CreekKooler Follow along as I test the limits of this interesting cooler concept called the CreekKooler.  Basically a floating 30 qt  cooler you can pull behind a canoe or kayak, freeing up valuable onboard space.  You can read all about the maiden voyage by clicking here.

Ottolock bike lock: Final Update

Ottolock bike lock I kept waiting for something exciting to happen before submitting my last update but alas, living in a small town in rural Alabama did not afforded any such opportunity. Also, once the weather turned cold I did not ride a whole lot so there were fewer opportunities for theives to strike.  To read the rest of my final thought please click here.

Tailwind Nutrition Final Update

Tailwind Nutrition I used the Tailwind Nutrition for several long day hikes, and a couple of overnight hikes. I only used it on one long ElliptiGo ride, I kept busting spokes on what seemed like every other ride and finally sold it. So while not an ultra runner or athlete by any stretch of the imagination, my goal was to find out how well it helped me maintain my energy and if it would keep me from having cramps afterwards. I am pleased to say it did a very good job for both. To read my final thoughts please click here.
