Final Update – Injinji Compression Socks

Injinji Ultra Compression

Injinji Ultra Compression Socks – Clark Shelf, Juneau Alaska

I have put almost another 100 miles on the Injinji Ultra Compression socks while running 2 marathons and trail 50k.  The socks have remained comfortable both on short and long runs.  Meanwhile durability has been good with a few pulls in the socks, but nothing that hurt their performance at this point.  Read on for my final update.

End of Summer Updates

Summer may officially be over, but Northern New England is still having some summer weather – and I am reluctant to let go.  But, I finally updated some reviews.  I spent early summer camping and hiking in Iceland with my daughter.  The rest of the summer was spent on local trips, hiking mostly with my young dogs.  The weather was cool, hot and humid, windy and just about everything in between.

Evaluating the next valley

I have put over 170 miles on the Injinji Ultra Compression OTC socks over the past few months and they have performed well.  The compression has worked well, I have had no cramping issues even though I ran an Ultramarathon, half marathon, and a 7 hour mountain run in them.  Read on for my full update.

Injinji Ultra Compression Socks – first look

Injinji Ultra Compression

Injinji Ultra Compression Socks – Clark Shelf, Juneau Alaska

I have been dabbling with calve compression sleeves for the past few years while running marathons and ultramarathons.  I am not sure that I have empirical data, but since I started using the calve sleeves, I have had better muscle recovery and no calve cramping while racing.  The only challenge was that I needed to wear a compression sleeve and running socks.  Injinji has come out with a compression sock that I hope can do both.  I will be reviewing the Injinji Ultra Compression OTC socks over the next few months.  Read on for my initial thoughts.

Happy Feet

Blue/Grey Hiker socks

I love hiking, and am not always super picky about gear  – I love trying new items, and seeing how they work out.  One thing I am picky about is making sure my feet are happy.  That means comfortable socks and footwear.   Injinji has some new socks coming out, and I was fortunate enough to receive 2 pair.  A pair of lightweight Liner socks, and a heavier pair of Hiker socks.  These won’t be available until fall, but we have a sneak peak!  Click HERE to read my initial thoughts and plans.
