Owner Review: REI Revelcloud Jacket

REI Revelcloud Jacket

I have held out on purchasing any kind of down or insulated jacket. To be honest, I can be pretty rough on my clothing (ask my wife) and an expensive down jacket with hair-thin walls doesn’t exactly bring durability or longevity to mind. Also, South Carolina weather doesn’t really scream puffy-down-jacket either. However, in anticipation of some upcoming winter backpacking trips, I did my research and landed on what I think was the perfect choice considering all of my misgivings. The Tace jacket was made primarily for running. I looks very similar to a running jacket I own, but when I stopped running, I started using my jacket for hiking and backpacking. I intend to use the Tace jacket for hiking and daily use.  To read more.

Ready for Frost?

Going hunting in cold weather?  I’m reviewing the Columbia First Frost Fleece Jacket while deer hunting in Northeastern Ohio.  Our weather changes quickly and frequently and this jacket could help keep me comfortable while outdoors for hours at a time.
