GPS enabled watches are everywhere now. Epson has entered the market with a line that includes four watches with a price point from $99 to $399. I will be reviewing the ProSense 57 GPS Running Watch over the next couple of months.

Danimal 50k Finisher Medal
Fall is prime trail running time in the Southeastern United States. The Danimal 50k takes place in Lake Charles, Louisiana and it is run on the rooty technical trails of Sam Houston Jones State Park. This is my review of the race – let’s just say that I underestimated the course, but still was able to earn another finish! Race Report
Evaluating the next valley
I have put over 170 miles on the Injinji Ultra Compression OTC socks over the past few months and they have performed well. The compression has worked well, I have had no cramping issues even though I ran an Ultramarathon, half marathon, and a 7 hour mountain run in them. Read on for my full update.

Trap Pond Marathon Finisher Medal
The Trap Pond Half Marathon, Marathon and 50k in Laurel, Delaware is an old school trail race. No big sponsor arches, or even awards for the top finishers, max of 100 runners total, a cool medal and the chance to run laps around the namesake Trap Pond at the Trap Pond State Park. I am in the process of running 50 marathon in 50 states before I turn 50, and I had to be in DC for work, and this race was the weekend before I needed to be in the Nation’s Capital. Finishing the Gulf Coast Marathon
I have used the Ultimate Direction Marathon in 2 half marathons, 1 marathon, and numerous training runs putting in over 110 miles while wearing the vest. Comfort has been great with no areas of chaffing or rubbing. Durability has been good with no busted buckles or worn straps and practicality is also good with easy access to bottles and food. I still notice that it rides a little high compared to other packs and this can be a minor annoyance and I do feel like heavier items in the pack cause it to bounce more than other packs I have used. JLab Epic 2 earbuds during a cold 5k in Mississippi
The JLab Epic2 Earbuds have continued to perform well since my last update. Durability and comfort have been amazing and the sound produced by the earbuds is great. Playtime has met expectations with me getting between 11-13 hours of playback before needing to recharge. These earbuds have performed above expectations! Read on for my final thoughts.
