Update on the Chaos 100% Organic Beatles Hat

The Beatles Hat was worn over the past month to the beach in Oceanside California and while hiking in Utah in the Wasatch Mountains and Park City. The temperatures ranged from the upper 70’s to the mid 90’s.

I received the CHAOS CTR Summit Cadet Cap right before Memorial Day weekend which was perfect for this review. When I opened the box shipped from Canada with all sorts of fancy import documents, I first noticed how light the hat was. The feel of the polyester fabric was soft but strong and I thought it odd that the bill seemed to be broken in half. Well, then I read the tags and realized this particular hat was packable! I have been a long time fan of the Fedora hat, long before the Indiana Jones movies made them so popular in America. I remember at a very young age looking at pictures of outdoorsman wearing this style of hat and in particular Fred Bear. So it is no surprise that I jumped at the chance to test a Fedora from a hat maker with a long history of making fine outdoor hats.  However, this Fedora is the first hat from Tilley using the “age old tradition of blocking hats using presses and molds to shape the hat into a beautifully shaped fedora with heat and steam.”
